Information for Consumers

In July 2015 SPC "DIAPROF-MED" produced the first experimental series of quick tests for detection markers of HIV infection. We declare that the evaluation of their informativity will be taken into account the following information.

The CDC is one of the major operating components of the Department of Health and Human Services. In April 2014 it published the Laboratory testing for the diagnosis of HIV infection: updated recommendations.

In accordance with this document laboratories should use the same testing algorithm, beginning with an antigen/antibody combination immunoassay, with serum or plasma specimens submitted for testing after a reactive (preliminary positive) result from any rapid HIV test.

Also according to the CDC, as of April 2014, data are insufficient to recommend use of the FDA-approved single-use rapid HIV-1/HIV-2 antigen/antibody combination immunoassay as the initial assay in the algorithm..
